Part-time four-wheel drive allows the driver to choose when to activate the system, depending upon changing conditions on or off the road.

2WD HIGH-SPEED RANGE

The 2-wheel drive (2H) mode is preferred under normal operating conditions.

4WD HIGH-SPEED RANGE

4-wheel drive (4H) mode is used when the roads are icy or wet, or when driving off-road.

4WD LOW-SPEED RANGE

4-wheel drive: low-range (4L) mode delivers the most torque, when maximum towing capacity is required.

FIVE-LINK REAR SUSPENSION

The axle is connected on the left and right to provide a smooth ride even when the road surface gets rough. Such a system is preferred for off-road operation.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAMME (ESP)

ELECTRONIC BRAKEFORCE DISTRIBUTION (EBD)

BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM (BAS)

ESP constantly monitors road conditions and vehicle status and automatically adjusts engine output and braking whenever the driver is about to lose control.

EBD-ABS distributes brake force appropriately to the front and rear wheels according to the vehicle's load of passengers and/or cargo.

When the system senses the driver is applying emergency braking, it assists by applying maximum braking effort automatically to reduce the vehicles braking distance and to help avoid an accident.
